Legacy



An organization nurtured by the friendship and business bond between Daruvala and Mistry families; Sterling and Wilson has a fascinating origin. Established in 1927 as Wilson Electric Works by the Daruvala family, it soon became an electrical systems contractor for many of SP Group’s turnkey projects. The business relationship took a major step forward when the Shapoorji Pallonji Group acquired a 51% stake in Wilson Electrical Works in 1973 and the firm was subsequently rechristened as Sterling and Wilson (S&W).

The Mistry & Daruvala families have been partners in S&W for over three generations now and together they have worked on a host of prestigious projects in India and across the world.

S&W Group is today a diverse organisation with businesses and entities spread across sectors such as MEP, industrial EPC, T&D, renewable energy, data centre EPC, gen-sets and green hydrogen. Sterling and Wilson Private Limited (SWPL)



SWPL has three major business divisions MEP, Industrial EPC and T&D:

MEP - The individual services of the MEP Business - Mechanical, Electrical, Public Health Engineering, Firefighting, IBMS have achieved significant growth in the past. In 2017, the individual businesses were integrated into one business division – MEP. Today, Sterling and Wilson are one of the very few engineering companies in India with a 360-degree service offering in this space. MEP business has been one of the major contributors to the group’s turnover, registering exponential growth from ₹50 crores in 2005 to ₹1596 crores in FY 2018-19.

Industrial EPC (IEPC) - Sterling and Wilson ventured into IEPC in 2015 to exploit the ever-growing market opportunities and leverage the company’s internal strength in MEP and EPC. The IEPC business division undertakes civil, electromechanical, instrumentation & controls, security, firefighting & detection works. We cater to a large section of industrial projects in oil & gas, cryogenic, mines, power, defence, chemical, fertilizers, steel, manufacturing plants, large infrastructure, etc.

Transmission and Distribution (T&D) Division - The T&D business serves the entire portfolio of engineering, supply, civil, project management, erection, testing, commissioning & maintenance of HV & EHV substations. It offers turnkey solutions across a cross-section of industrial sectors like steel, aluminium, copper, paper, chemical & petrochemical, material handling projects, E.B.O.P of power plants, railways feeding traction substation projects, Metro Railways and Airports.

Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy Limited (SWREL)



SWREL is a global pure-play, end-to-end renewable engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) solutions provider. The company provides EPC services for utility-scale solar, floating solar and hybrid & energy storage solutions and has a total portfolio of over 20.7 GWp (including projects commissioned and under various stages of construction). SWREL also manages an operation and maintenance (O&M) portfolio of 7.8 GWp solar power projects, including projects constructed by third parties. Present in 28 countries today, Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy Limited has operations in India, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Europe, Australia, and the Americas.

Sterling and Wilson Data Center Private Limited (SWDC)



SWDC commenced services in 2015, and in a short period, it has emerged as one of India’s leading Data Centre EPC players in the sector. It has executed 25 DC projects, including 8 greenfield and 6 Uptime Tier certified, with a total IT load of more than 65MW, in India and international markets, with leading colocation and hyperscale organizations. Currently, the company is setting up a data centre of more than 90+ MW IT load for a hyperscaler client and 6 MW for a colocation platform in India. The group is also finalising multiple projects in India and various international locations such as Egypt, Nigeria, KSA & the UAE.

Sterling Green Power Solutions Private Limited (SGPS)



SGPS is a part of Sterling and Wilson Group and is one of the largest providers of comprehensive power solutions. Its cutting-edge manufacturing facility and use of advanced technology equip it with production capabilities to manufacture custom-built generators, e-mobility, hydrogen, PCE, and services and management solutions across Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and South-East Asia.
